Defeats Frank Marois in Final
On September 3rd, the Tin Whistles match play championship final was held on Pinehurst’s famous course no. 2. What started as a 64-man field of players in a summer long match play tournament came down to 2 former champions, Kirk Adkins (2022) and Frank Marois (2023). Battling hot and steamy conditions, both players played exceptionally well, with several lead changes during the match. In a tightly contested match, Kirk Adkins prevailed on the 18th hole, winning 1-up. Congratulations to Kirk, now a 2-time winner of this tournament!
